Welcome Avatar! This is our regular monthly platform update. For more details on the idea & platform roadmap, we recommend you read The Road to the SovSpot Mobility Platform if you haven’t already.
General overview
In March the traffic increased further, with more posting on the SovSpot Twitter and Facebook page and some new articles (too few imo, but I’ve been putting a bit more focus on closing some digital agency clients in the meantime, just to make sure that standard income is stable/increases in this current state of the macro economy).
Even without posting too much new content in March, we hit another ATH in organic traffic.
Ad revenue increased this month, but still no product downloads on the site’s store, although we did generate some consulting revenue.
Paid listing update
The Attorney profiles have been ready for a while (sample profile here, and the search functionality here) - in March we worked on getting the consultant/experts listing type up.
As you can see, really all that is left is some visibility settings depending on the user level, creating the subscription plans + permissions and then uploading the first batch.
I’ve also created a SovSpot member tier, which will provide a 100% discount to the guides and other content for a $9.99/month. We will be providing very nice content to that group going forward. The listing managers (Attorneys, Consultants etc), will also have access to this content, but pay a higher fee to maintain/manage their listing.
Platform Analytics - March 2023
Unique page views: 20,783 (+53%)
Total sessions: 17,583 (+53%)
Total unique users: 15,525 (+51%)
Organic sessions: 15,875 (+58%)
Social users: 435 (-16%)
User accounts created: 19 (+35%)
Development/Software/Mkt costs: $199 (not including dev time)
Ad Revenue: $53.9 (+29%)
Product Revenue: $0.00 (-%)
Memberships: $0.00 (-%)
Listings: $0.00 (-%)
Consulting: $150
Will be interesting to see when the other revenue streams start picking up, but so far ad revenue has been consistently growing.
One thing to work on is making sure that a listing manager does not have ads on a paid listing (for now this is a manual process, but I have to make it so that the Adsense gets offloaded automatically on a paid listing)
Marketing Stack
As of this month, we are using the following marketing tools to track progress & create content:
Google Analytics + Google Search Console
Moz Pro
Semrush
Ahrefs
Quillbot
ChatGPT
SEO Surfer
Outscraper
Content created
This is an overview of all the content that has been created last month, as you can see, this was a low content month:
Articles:
Have about 10+ articles ready to go for the “Residency by Investment” topic cluster, but definitely need to step up the gas in April to roll out all the rest of the articles.
Future Rollout Stages
The upcoming rollout stages will be as follows:
v3 - Exclusive member content
Introduction of member tiers (pro subscribers on this sub will automatically be on the highest member tier) - Dev is done on this
Additional roll out of country data (Digital nomad visa data for countries) - started with this overview here, but still need to integrate this on a per country basis
v4 - CBD Attorneys (1000+) - Listed cleaned
v5 - Immigration Attorney listings (30,000+ collected so far)
v6 - Immigration Consultants, Professionals & Agencies (200+)
Comments are open, let me know what you think. Any input is welcome.
See you in the jungle, frens!
