Yeah it is already happening in Argentina: he is the most popular under young voters and many started picking up Austrian economics books to learn more about monetary policy, why socialism doesn't work and more. Let's hope that trend continues, Milei is a prime example of teaching those principles: he would go to different cities and just start teaching economics classes in parks etc
I also loved this interview with Gloria Alvarez who was schooled in Austrian in Guatemala. I was stunned to learn the University is there, with amazing teachings but hasn’t made an impact in local politics. It shows that it is an influencer or rare personality that can bring these issues into the light. Maybe Gloria will be another shining light in the region.
Yes, she is very well known in Latam, and even ran for office but she wasn't able to make the impact needed (perhaps because Guatemala is a relatively traditional society and she is a woman)
