Another EXCELLENT article. Great analysis and spot on target. There are many unknowns but as I mentioned pretty much since the beginning, dollarization won't happen quickly. It's a long play that I can't see happening any time soon. Why? NO MONEY.
With the strikes and things, he needs to be smart. I already laid out my advice for a 30, 60, 120 180, 360 day plan and roadmap. He needs to publicly get out there that if anyone is striking they don't love Argentina and to give his plan a shot first. He hasn't even started yet.
Society is ready for change there but it won't be easy or quick. More turmoil and as I mentioned, he might regret getting the job. But so far he is making the right decisions.
I agree! It will be an uphill battle but so far society seems ready for this change and supportive. It will be fascinating to see how this all plays out. In the short term looking just at the next four years, I am pretty bullish in terms of opportunities for private investors
Yes, I totally agree. I have GREAT timing on Argentina. I started buying in 2002 and rode it up tremendously. Most of my properties I sold for 3X or 4X at the top of the market. I had some units I bought pozo at $47,000 and I sold them at $200,000. I had 5 units in the same building and the amazing thing is they all netted about 4X in cash flow too before I sold it.
Things move in cycles. I'm a #'s guy. There will be a boom in Argentina and anyone that owns real estate and knows anything about Airbnb's are going to make a LOT of money. It's going to be fun.

Hopefully the wonderful people of Argentina can un-learn state dependence and make something great of this moment. Hilarious meme at the end.
Haha thanks man! Yes it is reassuring, however Milei will need to act fast to make sure that collectivism doesn't come back with a vengeance. I think the max amount of time people will be prepared to give him is 6 months (some seem to think that things will get better right away, but they will be disappointed)
