This privacy policy explains how BowTiedMara handles your personal information when you subscribe to the publication, comment on posts, or otherwise interact with the blog. This Mara takes your privacy seriously, which is fitting for a pseudonymous rodent running a blog read by sovereign individuals.

Who runs this publication

BowTiedMara is a pseudonymous Substack publication covering Argentine economics, real estate, geoarbitrage, residency, and related topics. Payments for paid subscriptions are processed by Ypsilon Digital Inc., the legal entity connected to the publication’s Stripe account. When you subscribe, the charge on your statement will appear as YPSILON DIGITAL INC. Same publication, same bowtie.

What information is collected

When you interact with BowTiedMara, the following information may be collected:

• Email address: when you subscribe (free or paid), leave a comment, or contact the publication directly.

• Payment information: when you become a paid or Founding Member subscriber. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe. This publication never sees or stores your full card number.

• Subscription status and history: whether you are a free, paid, or Founding Member subscriber, when you signed up, and your renewal history.

• Usage data: Substack provides aggregated analytics about how posts are opened and read. This data does not identify you personally to the publication.

• Communications: any emails, DMs, or comments you send.

How the information is used

Your information is used to:

• Deliver the publication to your inbox and provide access to paid content.

• Process payments for paid and Founding Member subscriptions.

• Respond to questions, support requests, and comments.

• Send subscription-related notices (renewals, expirations, receipts).

Who has access to your information

How long information is kept

Subscriber information is kept for as long as you remain a subscriber, plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, tax, and accounting obligations. Payment records are kept for the period required by applicable tax law (typically seven years). You can request deletion at any time using the contact details below. Some records may need to be retained longer where required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal information held about you.

• Correct inaccurate information.
